Null

0In the world of Baldi's Basics, Null (formerly known as Filename2) is the hidden, overarching antagonist and "lore-keeper" of the series. He is a self-aware, corrupted entity who knows he is inside a video game and is desperate to escape or have the player destroy it.
Who is Null?
Null appears as a distorted, low-resolution human figure (an edited image of the developer, mystman12). Unlike Baldi, who wants to teach you math, Null wants to warn you.
* The Message: His primary goal is to tell the player to stop playing the game and delete it before "something bad happens."
* Self-Awareness: He frequently breaks the fourth wall, referring to the game's files, the developer, and the player directly.
Key Appearances
| Game | How to Find Him | What He Does |

| Classic Remastered | Complete various modes and find the secret "Basement." | Acts as the final boss in a secret game style called NULL Style. |
| Plus | Often referenced in secret rooms or through rare events. | His lore continues, but he is more elusive and difficult to trigger. |

* The End: After a high-speed chase and boss battle where you throw items at him, he eventually glitches out and is "deleted" from the game's reality.
Did You Know?
* Public Domain: In a meta-twist, the developer officially "released" Null into the public domain in 2024/2025, essentially stating the character had "escaped" the Baldi universe lore for good.
* Red Baldloon: If you try to replay Null's boss fight after defeating him once, he
