Sun Wukong, also known as the Monkey King, is one of the most legendary and iconic characters in Chinese mythology and literature. Originating from the classic 16th-century Chinese novel Journey to the West (西遊記), Sun Wukong is a mischievous, powerful, and immortal monkey with extraordinary abilities. Born from a magical stone atop the Mountain of Flowers and Fruit, he is a creature of both divine and earthly nature. Endowed with incredible strength, agility, and intelligence, Sun Wukong possesses a wide array of supernatural powers. He can transform into 72 different shapes, travel vast distances in a single somersault, and wield the magical Ruyi Jingu Bang—a staff that can grow or shrink at will. Despite his immense powers, his rebellious nature and arrogance often lead him into trouble, such as his infamous defiance of the Jade Emperor and the heavens themselves.
