The Magic School Bus Rides Again is the direct sequel to The Magic School Bus, set after the fourth season. Now in fifth grade at Walkerville Elementary School, Arnold, Carlos, Dorothy Ann, Keesha, Ralphie, Tim, Wanda, and their newest classmate, Jyoti, embark on educational escapades aboard the Bus, only this time there have been big changes - Phoebe has returned to her old school, and Professor Valerie Frizzle, PhD has retired from teaching to become a research professor, so she passes the keys of the Magic School Bus on to her younger sister, Ms. Fiona Frizzle, who gets hired to teach the class. And the ma go c school bus transforms anything with exciting learning transformational magical field trips inside a volcano, shark, and many more. D.A won’t stop saying “According to my Research” Arnold doesn’t like field trips so he asks to stay behind. Ms Frizzle is very happy with her job! D.A researches on her iPad. states, "We'll be fine as long as we don't get hit by lightning!" Soon, the kids get hit by lightning, and the hot-air bus disappears. In Waikiki, Hawaii, two surfers are paddling on the water as the Magic School Bus appears. However, things are different: the Bus's balloon is now shaped like a banana, the basket is smaller, and Ms. Frizzle is dressed as a clown with frizzier hair. Keesha, Carlos, and Ralphie are also the only three students on the bus. Ms. Frizzle sings a song about the great blue sea in Waikiki, and the trio dances the hula to the song. In the Andes Mountains, Peru, a version of the Magic School Bus with a compass-shaped hot-air balloon appears, carrying Tim, Jyoti, and Wanda. They worry about everyone else being missing, and soon, another Ms. Frizzle appears, who happens to be more brave than usual. She starts rambling about her adventure to find the Buried Mummy of Chan-Chan. She doesn't care about the Balloon Fiesta, and just wants to "surf some serious air currents". In Nova Scotia, Canada, a third of the Bus with a balloon shaped like an apple appears. Arnold, DA, and Liz are the remaining three. Arnold claims he is "classblind" because he can't see the others, but Dorothy Ann (he can see her) says that the other students are not there, and its just she, he, and Liz. Arnold then replies that this reminds him of a recurring dream that just happens to be every single trip. Soon, their Ms. Frizzle appears in a suit and pants and a bun hairstyle without frizzle. She tells the two kids that their Bus is approaching the lighthouse in Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia, Canada. Dorothy Ann wonders why they are in Canada instead of Albuquerque, and Ms. Frizzle tells the kids learn that the lightning has caused the Bus to rupture, causing the full Ms. Frizzle to split into three parts - the reason for the Frizzle clones. Ms. Frizzle gives Arnold her FrizzPad Fragment, and he goes to the GPS showing the others' locations. The kids learn that another part of the Bus in Peru (the Compass Bus). On the compass-balloon Bus, someone is calling Wanda on her FrizzPad Fragment. Tim wonders if it's a rescue team, but it's actually Arnold, calling from the Apple Bus. The Compass group was starting to get worried that Arnold would be gone forever. Arnold tells Wanda that he and Dorothy Ann are in Nova Scotia, Canada. Then Dorothy Ann finds another part of the Magic School Bus in Hawaii. She calls its respective FrizzPad fragment, where Keesha answers. Keesha says that she needs help because Carlos, Ralphie, and Ms. Frizzle won't stop acting weird. Wanda says that that isn't possible because, to her, Ms. Frizzle is supposed to be in Peru, where in reality, she's been split into three, as Dorothy Ann chimes in to the video call, showing everyone her Ms. Frizzle. Keesha's Ms. Frizzle says "You get a Frizzle, she gets a Frizzle, we all get FRIZZLES!" And your name is Arnold the birthday one. Ms Frizzle splits into three, You, D.A, and Liz (the lizard) gets split into the Reliable teacher ms frizzle (Split number 1) on the Apple Balloon. Wanda, Jyoti, Tim gets into Adventerous Frizz Fiona who likes mountains and climbing zip line riding and swinging. On the Clock Balloon. Keesha, Carlos, And Ralphie gets with on the Banana balloon with The Frizz. The Silly One. Carlos and The Frizz does jokes. And yeah it’s your birthday. You planned to go to Albuquerque’s Balloon fiesta but the Apple balloon went to Nova Scotia and the Banana went to Hawaii and The Clock one went to Peru. They have to find air currents to go to Albuquerque. But air currents turn. It’s your birthday have fun! Remember this is the magic school bus rides again. Lighting hits the bus splits into three, Apple, Banana, Clock. Magic School Bus Gains Weight episode. slam dunk exhibition has come to Walkerville, and one kid from Walkerville Elementary will be chose to represent the school. Everyone in Ms. Frizzle's class has been training, though Phoebe wonders what are the chances any of them will be chosen? Mr. Rhule soon comes on the intercom and announces the student who will represent the school: none other than Phoebe. She begins to worry, knowing she can't do a slam dunk. Wanda reminds her that jumping is using her muscles to pull her weight off the ground. So Phoebe gives it a try, only to drop back down. Dorothy Ann reads in her book that gravity makes certain objects fall by pulling down on them. Ms. Frizzle then arrives and takes everyone on a trip to space (an idea inadvertently suggested by Wanda, who says that going to the moon will give less gravity), and The Magic School Bus becomes a basketball area with its own controllable arena, named "Planet School Bus". Planet School Bus includes an arena and Phoebe tests her jump, only to realize that the gravity on the planet pulls down on her just like the gravity on Earth. So Ms. Frizzle reduces the size of the planet and Phoebe tests her jump again, jumping higher this time. She successfully does a slam dunk, only to realize she has no idea to get down. While Phoebe continues to hang from the rim, Carlos jokingly states that she's "got the hang of this". Dorothy tells Phoebe to let go since she won't fall hard with less gravity pulling her down. The rest of the class demonstrates this fact by showing that they could lift even the heaviest objects at relative ease. Phoebe protests that jumping isn't falling, but Tim reassures her that falling is the down part of jumping. So Phoebe reluctantly lets go and falls very softly down the ground. When Arnold asks why there is less gravity on the planet than there is on earth, Dorothy wonders if it has something to do with the size of the planet, and Ms. Frizzle explains to the class that the lesser the planet, the lesser the gravity. The teacher offers the class a scale and Phoebe, who originally weighed 65 pounds, weighs fifteen pounds on Planet School Bus. The rest of the class tries out the scale and learn that how much of their body weight depends on how much gravity it pulls down on them. Ms. Frizzle offers them basketballs and explains that with less gravity, it takes longer for them to drop when they are thrown in the air. The class plays with the balls and Phoebe uses a ball to slam dunk on the hoop. When she asks what it would be like without any gravity, Liz shrinks Planet School Bus down to size and the class floats in the air. After she experiments with low gravity and zero gravity, Phoebe tries to go back to normal, but the lever appears to be stuck. She tries to use her muscles to get it unstuck, but she has pulled so hard that she accidentally gets the lever to the high gravity setting, making the bus planet gigantic. The class falls inside a popcorn tank and since there is so much gravity, they can't get up. Just then, they hear a cracking sound and realize that since there is too much gravity, everything that is heavy falls through a massive hole in the court, which the rest of the class fall into as well. Carlos jokingly states that the class have "officially brought the house down". It's up to Phoebe to try and save the class. But she can't get up since she cannot move due to gravity pulling down hard on her. She begins to fall into the hole with the rest of the class and falls onto the scale, to which Ralphie points out that she now weighs 450 pounds due to the high gravity. Phoebe then comes up with the suggestion to beat gravity with a stronger pull up, using the rope to pull the scale up so she could reach the lever to change the size of the planet. The class pulls their weight to pull the rope down to hoist Phoebe to the lever. She manages to switch the gravity back, and they return home so she can do her slam dunk. Ms. Frizzle introduces her at the area, and she tells everyone she won't be able to do the slam dunk they expect to see, But continues to explain that it's impossible for a kid her size to do it alone. With help from the rest of the class and a see-saw, she's able to do a slam dunk. As the audience cheer, Ms. Frizzle concludes that, "You can always count on gravity to pull you through".
