He is very intelligent and loves to tell jokes. He cares about his family, especially his son Simon. And Hamilton also have the power of telepathy and was born with one thumb. He is missing a thumb on his right hand. He is also 1.60 m tall. He likes to joke that it was amputated when he was five "by a surgeon who felt that symmetry was over-rated" to the audience of Andy Hamilton Sort of Remembers on Radio 4 in October 2017.
