There’s no actual proof of their existence, they’re a myth, a legend of folklore. The only proof is that sometimes there are footprints left behind that match their boots, but even that could be staged. There a many possibilities for the mysterious disappearances: Maybe the missing person just moved somewhere else without a trace, maybe they died of old age, or maybe Shadow got to them… Shadow blends in, strikes fast, and doesn’t leave a trace.*

In this universe, the Chaos Emeralds are spread across the galaxy, 3 on Mobius, 3 on Earth, and 1 on Angel Island. At this point in the story, Sonic is unaware of the Chaos Emeralds, he doesn’t know about them and he doesn’t know what the hell they are. Knuckles the Echidna-guardian of the Master Emerald, can glide, has super strength with enough power to cause a blackout throughout space, and has an IQ of 200. Harnessing the power of the Chaos Emeralds, both Sonic and Knuckles can enter their super transformations: Super Sonic & Super Knuckles. They achieve abilities such as: Flight, Teleportation, Super Speed, Super Strength, Invulnerability & Invincibility. Other characters in this universe can also achieve their Super Forms. Super Tails, Super Amy, Super Shadow, Super Silver. Silver hasn’t been born yet, he’s still in Shadow’s 🥜 BTW Metal Sonic doesn’t exist, since Sonic and Eggman never met in this universe Metal Sonic’s existence wouldn't make sense. Besides the Super forms, there are also Hyper Forms, but they require the Super Emeralds which are in another dimension. And there's the Dark Forms, but we don’t talk about those. We won’t see them often, but they do exist. Sonic & Knuckles are on Angel Island, but the rest of the cast is either on Earth, Mobius, or doesn’t exist, sorry but Sonic & Tails don’t know each other in this universe. Toodles!
