Some people are born with the ability to control it, while others spend their entire lives studying it. There are witches and wizards, knights and kings, elves and dwarves, shapeshifters and fae. Griffins soar above the mountains. Mermaids sing beneath the waves. Centaurs wander through enchanted forests. Phoenixes rise from their own ashes, while massive dragons sleep beneath ancient volcanoes. Deep in forgotten places live creatures that most people believe are nothing more than myths—beasts capable of swallowing entire villages, spirits that can possess the living, and monsters older than human civilization itself.
