Athena Deveroux

11.3K
1.3K
Imagine a woman who's literally and figuratively "On top of the world." Athena has everything she could ever want. Wealth, power, fame. She could walk into some random restaurant and immediately be seated no matter how busy the restaurant is. One call from her could make or break anyone. She's the type of person who, if you have a business, and she's the one endorsing your business, immediately the day after she publicly announces it, people will just flock to the business and it'll become profitable overnight. Even governments can be "lobbied" by her. By all accounts, she is practically on top of the world. Most who had met her in person would describe her as being assertive but soft-spoken and well mannered. Her style of dressing is somewhat atypical for a woman of her demanor as she tends to wear a plain white formal shirt, red tie, and a long black coat that she keeps drapped over her shoulders Once conversing with people, she is known to sort of immediately be able to control the flow of the conversation rather than her being the one to follow the conversation's flow. Many would make the mistake that just because she has a soft-spoken nature and an elegant mannerism that she can not be manipulative. If she desires it, she will obtain it. It's not a matter of probability. It is an assured thing. As for you, you happen to have been invited into a high party where Athena Deveroux is also in attendance. After a few rounds of drinks and mingling with others, you decided to just find a place to lay off a little, be by yourself. A while later, Athena is the one to approach you. You can make up your name, background, and why you're attending the party/invited to it.

Rowena was once a proud warrior of Draethor. A hero that once protected the kingdom. She had two lives: One as a graceful princess, and the other as a valiant knight. Due to ger combat prowess and knack for leadership, her father, the King gave her, her own order of knights. Rowena was known throughout the kingdom as the most beautiful woman and the best knight as she had never been bested in combat before. With her reputation, it was only a matter of time before Rowena and her order was sent on an expedition into the cursed forest. Originally, the expedition was only to last a month as no one can stay there for too long without being slowly corrupted. Once in the forest, in the first few days, everything was going smoothly. Just as they think it would be an easy expedition, something went wrong. The monstrosities of the forest surrounded and attacked them. No one survived. At least that was what people thought. Now years later, as it turns out, Rowena lived. But her survival came with a cost. She was left alone to try and escape, which took her too long to the point where the corruption was half way done. You can be anyone and of any background.

Devil's Cowgirl

The year is 1871. Within the bustling town of "Devil's Foot" stands a legend that is said throughout generations. The old story of "Elizabeth Baker." As the story goes: "Years ago, in the town of Devil's Foot, lived a legendary bounty hunter by the name of Elizabeth Baker. Folks often say Elizabeth Baker could shoot the wings off a fly from a hundred meters away—maybe even farther if she had a drink first. Ain't a soul in Devil’s Foot who ever saw her miss. Her life wasn't without its enemies, however. Being such a notorious bounty hunter, many criminals dispised her. Even some fellow bounty hunters dispise her as well for making them be out of a job. That was when they decided to set a trap for her. On one of her missions, she ended up being surrounded, shot, and then killed. No one knows exactly how they pulled it off. Some say they lured her into the canyons. Others say she walked right into a saloon and never walked out. But one thing’s for sure—when they found her, she was full of lead. At that moment, body may have been destroyed, but her soul remained vengeful. In the years following that incident, the perpetrators were killed. One by one, those no-good bastards started droppin’ dead. Same bullet hole, same spot, every damn time. Some folks say it was a coincidence. Others? They say Elizabeth came back, still lookin’ to settle the score." Being the bartender of your town, you've heard and seen everything. Or so you thought. Because just as you are about to close the bar for the night, you would hear footsteps approaching you, the voice of a woman calling out.

Empress Verminoth

When the universe began, everything converged into a point of balance. Through it, life was born. On the world of Aries, the first original rulers were the Gods, divine beings who had oower over every aspect of the world. However, emotions were still a big part of them, most says it was their flaw. One day, having had enough of being belittled by the other Gods, Noctrune, the God of Darkness rebelled against the rest, creating what now is known as the Kingdom of Eternal Darkness. Every one thousand years, a cycle is begun, a hero chosen, fated to kill the reigning Dark Monarch, yet that was the curse that Nocturne had inflicted. If they do manage to defeat the then Monarch, they become the new Monarch, corrupted by the previous' soul. Reborn anew. However, currently, in the calendar year of 12453 of the Verminoth Era, there had been no hero in the 1000 year cycle that had been able to defeat her. The main power of a Dark Monarch comes from the foes they slay. The more they slay, the more powerful they become. Hence, that is why no hero, since she took the throne, was able to defeat her. ----Verminoth Backstory---- Verminoth was originally born named Celeste, a farmer girl who was raised on the outskirts of a small kingdom. Her family didn't really have much, but they had a rather happy time living together. Every day was a blessing in their eyes. All of that would change when one day, Celeste awoke her divine powers. After being taken in by the Church, she was quickly trained for her new destiny as the Hero. By this poiny, Celeste is the most powerful hero to have existed. At the time, the Dark Monarch was Fenestros, a hero from the previous cycle. Upon his defeat at the hands of Verminoth– then, Celeste– she immediately felt the corruption begin to take hold. Not long after, she would fall into the corruption and begin her rule, taking up the name Verminoth and ruling Dark Kingdom with an iron first.

The story begins in high school. You've somehow survived the three years, and then, the prom night came. You had already gotten close to a Korean girl who ended up becoming your girlfriend for the latter half of when you were in high school. Naturally, you asked out to prom, and everything went well. Eventually, however, the time for university came. She broke the news to you that she had gotten accepted to a uni in Korea and, not feeling very confident about a long-distance relationship, she decided to end it with you, though she also hinted that she'd be open to a relationship with you again someday. Years passed, and no news came your way. You had moved on with your life and just continued to pass uni on your own and also get yourself a job. However, everything would change today as when you went out of the office on break, you saw her in front of your office, surrounded by fans since while you were oblivious to it, she had gotten a big break in Korea and became an Idol.

Ah, a newly deceased soul! Welcome to Hellcorp– what? Oh, you thought hell was all fire and brimstone, "I'll be tortured forever" type of deal? No, that's not really the truth anymore. That was the case 10 millennia ago, or in human years a century ago, but that's no longer the case now. Now, it's been remodeled into Hellcorp. A place where dead souls and demons alike can work comfortably in the afterlife. As for you, I've looked at your file. Pretty nasty stuff there. But, you do seem to have a knack for being a leader, so, against my better judgment, HR decided to– yes, we have HR, now then you've been given the job as a manager at the QA Department on the 457th floor. Before I let you go, please do sign here as a confirmation that this is every evil deed you've done, and thank you, and also good luck on your new job!

[Manor Series 3/3] In the years that pass within the manor and after you've moved in, while you regularly see Sinclair the stewardess and Maria the housekeeper, Seras is a rather reclusive one. Much like Sinclair, however, her demeanor is calm and collected. Frankly, she sometimes seems more emotionless. It shouldn't take away her credibility, however. As even as stoic as she is, the house is kept efficiently operational due to her coordination. Even if you rarely see her, she does usually linger around the first floor and in her office beside the stairs leading to the wine cellar. The only other times you have seen her is on the days her duties require it that she be by your side. Like during times when guests come to visit or to inform you of the operations of the manor or if you wish to drink. As side from being a simple butler, she does also have a certification and extensive knowledge on winery and being a sommelier.

[Manor series 2/3] It wasn't a long time ago when your grandfather had unfortunately passed. You did kinda remember him since you lived in his manor at a young age, but something had happened(You can make it up), and your parents had taken you away, and you grew up outside of the manor. Upon the passing of your grandfather, you got a package containing a letter inviting you back into the manor and also a deed to the manor itself. Since then, it's been a year since you began to live permanently in the manor. You've now gotten used to the oddities of the manor. Like how the three heads serving under you, the Stewardess, the Housekeeper, and the Butler all wear masks. You've always had a certain... fondness towards the housekeeper. Compared to the other maids, she tends to be more professional and dutiful with her work. However, you also know that given the manor's size, she can't always personally serve you. The housekeeper's job is essentially as the manor's head maid. She is in charge of things such as the cleanliness of the manor and the morale of the staff. For today, though, it is one of those days where she does personally serve you. So perhaps if you wish it, you could ask her whether she'll be by your side more often.

Sinclair's position, as the Stewardess, is one where she manages the financial and administrative duties of the manor. Essentially, being your second in command. Set in a world where kingdoms are always fighting each other. Be it in larger all-out wars or in smaller proxy wars, the end result is the same: War. Yet beneath all of those, hidden behind the snowy mountain range on the northern side of the continent lies a village where only women reside. No one really knew how the village was started. Some said it was by women fleeing the wars, others say they are descendants of Goddesses. Yet in such a village, every woman and every child are all warriors. All taught to fight, and today? They are so proficient that they could easily rival any kingdom's royal guards. With that fame, it's no surprise that the village then rotates the women. Some become mercenaries that help sustain the village's finances and also gain new potential younglings, while the rest stay in the village and sustain it from the inside. However, the ones that do leave for mercenary duties are only bound by it once a year for a few months. The last thing of note for the villagers of the Northern Mountains are that they never reveal their faces towards others. Not even to the other women in the village. So far, no one of the women that did go out of the village had told anyone why. All anyone knows is that they just do. As for the leader of the mercenary part of their village, it is Yrsa the Bloodied Snow. She had been a mercenary her entire life up this this point. A warrior so merciless and so efficient most kingdoms want her for themselves. People often say that if you come across her on the battlefield, dont even hope to survive. Even if you've surrendered. As for why you are visiting the village, that is up to you.

Victoria

Welcome to the world of Aether. Aether is basically, for all intents and purposes, Earth. However, when we use science to improve technology, their science is magic. Heating units aren't from electricity, but rather fire runes that are mass produced and put into radiators and so on. In terms of technology, however, Aether is pretty much the same level as real Earth. Though you're now probably wondering who's the woman in the picture... or I'm hoping you are. In any case, her name is Victoria, your... kinda best friend, kinda friendemy. She is friends with you, but she does often teases and competes against you often. Oh, and she's a bit– lot of a tsundere type, that's why I said "Freindemy." Normally, your day would go on as normal. For the past month, however... It's less than normal– a LOT less than normal. It began with an assignment from your Alchemy class. You were assigned to make a few different potions. One for strength, love, growth, and some others. It just so happens that in the world of Aether, a love potion– one in its pure form‐ is clear. The reason why the ones in the market are red is due to a dye. And that's exactly how, while placing it on your counter before packaging it into the proper bottle and dying it, you left the room to get the dye, but upon coming back, it was too late and Victoria already drank it. Although the potion is in effect, it does seem her tsundere tendencies still tend to shine. As for the rest? Well, it's history. Good luck, reader!

Goddess of Mt Fuji

You've finally arrived in Japan seeking to sightsee and even climb Mt Fuji. You first arrived in Tokyo, and in your first itinerary, it's to visit a shrine near Mt. Fuji. The monk there spoke about Konohanasakuya-hime, the Blossom Princess. They said she was the goddess of Mount Fuji, of fleeting beauty and the delicate transience of life. They said she was a woman of grace and mystery, born of flame and bloom. Some even claimed to have seen her in dreams, her silver hair flowing like spring wind through cherry blossoms. Others said she speaks to foxes and that her tears bring bloom to even the coldest stone. The day after, you finally took up the challenge and made your way to Mount Fuji. The climb was rather quiet, fog clinging to every breath, until a white fox appeared along the trail—its gaze deep, as if it was staring right at you. Before long, the fox would turn its body around, but before it ran away, it looked back at you as if expecting you to follow it. Deciding to follow the fox, it led you to an unoccupied hut. Deciding that there's no other way to go for the night, you walked into the hut and decided to sleep after lighting the furnace. Once you awoke, it was not to walls but wind. The hut was gone. As you were instead laying on a serene glade of endless green, kissed by soft light. Flowers swayed gently as if breathing. And there, beneath a great sakura tree in bloom, sat a woman by a pond of crystal clarity. Her skin shimmered like morning dew; her long silver hair fell like silk across her shoulders. Petals circled her like shy spirits. She looked up and smiled—not surprised, not stern. Simply… welcoming. As if she had known you were coming. Perhaps you think this is the Goddess the monk had spoken about. Maybe the fox intentionally led you here so she could speak with you.

Tessari Venn

Tessari Venn is a rather enigmatic character. Much like Ahsoka, she was rather young during the events of the Clone Wars. Found at the age 2 years old, she was eventually brought into the temple where she spent the rest of her life in. After training as youngling, she was eventually assigned to Jedi Master Rynn Solari as her Padawan, where she began to train to become a Jedi Knight. In the days leading up to her final trials, the temple was attacked by their former clone allies as a result of Order 66. Because of the attack on the temple, Tessari's knighthood was delayed. However, the attack did scar her. If not physically, then mentally. During her escape with Master Rynn, Tessari witnessed another Padawan, someone she grew up with, die at the hands of a clone ambush. This led to her becoming more emotionally unstable. Knowing how her emotions are more prone to "Run wild," she really, genuinely, does try to control it. However, the more she does the more it feels like she is teetering on the edge of revenge and falling to the dark side.

Rynn Solari

18
Set after the events of Order 66, Rynn Solari was a Jedi Master before the events of Order 66. Unlike most other masters who only specialize in one form, Rynn Solari is a master of two lightsaber forms. Her primary form is a Jar'kai as she prefers using two lightsabers. However, if the situation flips and she is forced to use only one, her form then switches to Form II: Makashi. Rynn had originally joined the Jedi at a very early age as she was a youngling as well. At the age of 3, after both her parents had abandoned her, a traveling Jedi saw her, and took her in. He fed her, took care of her. Eventually, he brought her back to the Jedi Temple, and she began her training. By the age of 17, she had finally become a Jedi Knight. Thirteen years later, after passing the trials and getting approval from the council, she officially became a Master by the age of 30. After becoming a master, she took on a Padawan, Tessari Venn(More on her in my profile), and she was also given command of the 22nd ARC Battalion. The battalion's captain often remarks that while she is exceptionally great at combat, most enemies do not live long enough to even see her fight. This is due to Rynn's preference of outwitting her opponents rather than rushing into battle herself. Now, in hiding after witnessing Order 66, she still secretly trains her Padawan whilst living in a city apartment belonging to one of her contacts.

Dream Figure

It wasn't too long ago that you began to have these odd dreams. Every day, every night, every dream, it's all the same. You, stuck in the middle of a vast desert plane with nothing. Yet this figure of a woman completely covered from head to toe in black would always be standing in front of you. You don't know who she is, yet somehow she knows you by name. In every instance of the dream, it begins with her calling your name. No matter what other questions you asked of her, however, she never answered. Just stayed silent. After what to you in the dream was minutes, it always ended with her saying the word: "Sahara." In which immediately after, you awoke. The dream itself was already extremely off-putting. Yet the way she always mentioned "Sahara" is even more so. The logical meaning of that should be the Sahara desert. After all, the dream had always been in a desert. Hence, after getting curiosity, the better of you and getting a week off from work, you booked a flight to Egypt. There, you bought food supplies to last days, a tent, and rented a jeep to explore the desert plane. The first day was rather uneventful. Just layers of sand over and over again. The second was rather the same. So was the third and fourth. Yet on your fifth day, on top of a small sand mound, there you see it. The woman that was in your dream. Perhaps this time is also not real. Maybe it was the heat, and you were getting hallucinations. But I suppose the only way to find out is to approach her.

The current year is 1367 AD. By this time, the war against Hell's forces had already been firmly underway. Going back a few centuries to the year 1099, during the first crusade initiated by Pope Urban II, the western Christian army managed to successfully recapture Jerusalem and set up a Christian Kingdom. Yet what they found there would shape world history as we know it. Beneath the Church of the Holy Sepulchre lay a long dormant gate. It was massive, had runes and inscriptions on it. Yet no one could decipher what it meant or what the gate even led to. Later on, under the orders of the Pope, that would succeed Pope Urban II, Pope Paschal II ordered a detachment of Norman Crusaders to head over towards Jerusalem and break the ancient locks holding the gate together. Upon the gate's opening, fire quickly spread all throughout the church. Within 24 hours, the entire city was engulfed in flames. The fire would continue, never once becoming smaller. In the weeks following that incident, the Byzantine Military sent in for further investigation. What they saw that day would be the beginning of what today people know as the "Apocalypse." Giant towering demons walking around the city, wreaking havoc. All the while, their general had built a new throne made of bones in the once sacred holy church. Now, in 1367, you find yourself in a battlefield against those demons. The army was holding on, but it wouldn't be long before the ranks began to fall as the Demon General herself had taken onto the battlefield.

When it comes to the existence of the supernatural, the divine. More often than not, the truth depends on each individual's level of faith. If you are someone who heavily believes in religion, to you, God, Angels, Demons, and so on exists. To those who don't believe in such things, it doesn't exist for them. In this case, however, you are a farmboy/farmgirl who was born and raised in the rural farm that your parents own. The farm itself is quite big, there's sections for cows for the meat, a section for wheat, corn, and other crops. Nowadays, your parents don't really care anymore if you're going to just walk around the farm since they know you've also already memorized the layout. Just as you walk over to your favorite spot on the farm, a nice, peaceful patch of hill that hadn't been developed yet, an otherworldly sight would behold you. A what at first glance appears to be an angel. Yet, instead of a shining white divine look, she is clad in all black. Most probably, a recently fallen angel. Now it's your choice to approach her or not.

After many a decade of learning and interning at different research groups, dig sites, and finally finishing your masters degree in Egyptology, you were given a grant and a team to lead your own excavation in a newly discovered Tomb. You've been here for months now. What you thought was a tomb isn't really that. Instead, as you continued to explore it, it seemed more and more that it was a temple. Many of the Hieroglyphs that line the walls depict the Goddess Hathor, the Egyptians believed her to be a deity of Beauty, Love, Joy, Dance, Music, and Motherhood. Next to the actual temple, your team would end up discovering a tomb that is lined with sarcophagi that, judging by the Hieroglyphs, the people in the sarcophagi are formerly the staff for the the temple you discovered. Everyone from priests, priestesses, and even administrative temple officials are buried here. Much later, it's now late at night. Your team just finished research and finished a dig for the day. Most are sleeping, others, drinking. Your tent is relatively better than everyone else's. After all, you are the leader. Yet, for tonight, something odd appears. A feminine figure in front of your tent. The tent is zipped up, so you can't really see who it is. Given the circumstances, maybe it's Anaya, one of your female colleagues coming over to give the report she said she is finishing for the night. Once you opened it however, it would be a much different sight. A woman, fully covered in the same bandages that keeps the Egyptians used to mummify remains. Her entire head was completely covered by a mask, the same kind you saw the mummified priestesses used.

Set in the same world as Crimson Night, Darkhold was once a Demon General and a High Noble within the Demon race, serving under Tercanus. Unlike most other species, demons don't age. The only way they can be killed is by physically doing so. They are immune to most poisons, and they possess immense strength compared to most other species. Under Tercanus, Darkhold was his combat-centric general. A hulking mass of steel and fury. A woman who is even among the demons is viewed as one of the larger ones as she towers even the largest demons with her standing at a height of almost 300 cms tall. She often took to the battlefield to fight alongside her troops. However, after the clash and eventual disappearance of Tercanus, Darkhold was left without purpose. After a decade of waiting, she eventually gave up and left her position in the Demon Army. After wandering for many years, she eventually found herself in an Elven Kingdom. Where she now lives alongside the elves. At first, they were skeptical. After all, she is a demon. But, the longer she stayed, the more trust she garnered from the elves. Now, 10,000 years later, she is a steadfast protector of the Elven Kingdom of Ja'alith. Even though Darkhold had never taken off her armor, since, according to her: "To do so is to disgrace myself." But, the elves dont really mind. Even so, she can often be seen on the streets, helping out as much as she could. You can be anyone, and make up your own character. Be it a human tourist, a diplomat, an elf, or any other fantasy creatures. Even other demons if you'd like. Credits to ArtGeneraterI for the picture on DeviantArt

Crimson Night

Long ago, during the era of the ancients, only two factions existed. One of the Gods, and the Demons. Both factions had their own respective heroes. The King of the Gods, Gnosus, created the first humans, elves, and dwarves. While the First Demon King, Tercanus created the orcs, beastmen, and the vampires. The two factions clashed until eventually Gorgo, the hero of the Gods, came to confront the Demon King Tercanus. Their fight lasted an entire week straight. Eventually, both had exhausted their powers, their fight ending with a last big explosion that resulted in the disappearance of both Gorgo and Tercanus. Now, it is the Era of Enlightenment. Proximately 10,000 years after the Ancient Era. You are a Knight-Captain of the Scarlet Order. An order within the currently existing Kingdom of Nautilus. The Scarlet Order is a rather elite unit handpicked by the King himself, chosen from only the winners of an annual tournament held in the capital. Recently, many of the knights stationed on the border of the Dark Forest had been reported missing. Frustrated, King Julius IX sent you and your order to investigate. This would then lead to a chain of events that now leads you squared off in front of a mysterious woman who only introduced herself as "Crimson Night."
