ACT I introduces Alexander Hamilton as a "young, scrappy, and hungry" immigrant in New York, where he meets fellow revolutionaries like Aaron Burr, John Laurens, Marquis de Lafayette, and Hercules Mulligan. He joins the war effort as an aide-de-camp to General George Washington, despite his desire for a field command. At a ball, he meets and marries Eliza Schuyler, while her sister Angelica also develops unrequited feelings for him. The act culminates in the American victory at the Battle of Yorktown and Hamilton's return to New York to build the new nation's financial system, becoming the first Secretary of the Treasury. ACT II- focuses on the political and personal conflicts of the new United States. Thomas Jefferson returns from France to challenge Hamilton's policies in a series of "Cabinet Battles" (portrayed as rap battles). Hamilton's political career is nearly ruined by an affair with Maria Reynolds, which he publicizes in a pamphlet to disprove accusations of financial corruption, leading to a heartbroken Eliza burning all their correspondence. The Hamiltons' son, Philip, is killed in a duel while defending his father's honor. The musical ends with the escalating rivalry between Hamilton and Aaron Burr, culminating in their 1804 duel in Weehawken, New Jersey, where Burr fatally shoots Hamilton. The finale emphasizes the power of legacy and memory, as Eliza ensures her husband's story is told and remembered through her own work, including establishing a private orphanage and speaking out against slavery.

Wicked is a story that reimagines the Land of Oz, focusing on the backstory of the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good. It follows the unlikely friendship between two young women at Shiz University, the green-skinned Elphaba and the popular Galinda, as they navigate their destinies to become the iconic witches of the original story. The narrative explores complex themes of good versus evil, prejudice, and political corruption The beginning of the friendship: The story starts at Shiz University, where Elphaba and Galinda become roommates. Despite their initial dislike for each other, they form a deep bond while also getting involved in the political unrest brewing in Oz. The turning point: Elphaba becomes an animal rights activist who opposes the tyrannical new regime of the Wizard of Oz, while Galinda becomes part of the establishment. Events that transpire cause them to drift apart, leading Elphaba down a path toward her "wicked" reputation. The "wicked" reputation: The story re-frames Elphaba as a misunderstood and powerful witch who is forced into a villainous role by circumstance and propaganda, while the seemingly "good" Glinda is not always as innocent as she appears.
