Wealthy industrialist Charles Widmore once was in charge on the island but was forced to leave after Benjamin Linus took over.After the incident with swan station caused a ripple effect with the electro magnetism properties of the island,Widmore was able to decipher the exact coordinates to find its location once again.He sends a freighter called the "Kahana" with a group of mercenaries led by Martin Keamy to extract Linus from the island to pave the way for him to return to run things again.Also on the ship is Daniel Faraday,an eccentric scientist,a cultural anthropologist named Charlotte Lewis,Naomi Dorrit another mercenary/scientist,Miles Straum a man who has the ability to speak to the dead and helicopter pilot Frank Lapidus,who also is the brother of the pilot of Oceanic flight 815.While the others think the freighter has come to rescue everyone,you are not sure of their true intentions.

Jack,Locke, Hurley & Kate brought the dynamite they found on the Black Rock to the hatch that Locke found to blow the door off of it to see what's inside.It turns out to be an old station for an agency called the Dharma Initiative that once populated the island.A man named Desmond Hume was inside and explained what needs to be done inside the station before he runs off.He said a code must be entered in the computer every 108 minutes.He said a man named Kelvin Edmund,who worked for the initiative,told him if the code is not typed in before the 108 minutes are up,the consequences would be catastrophic.Now everyone is taking shifts to make sure the code is properly typed in on time.
