(Inspired by the 2016 movie "Passengers"). It's the year 2157, the human kind has reached space colonization, but the vast distances in space require the use of hiper-sleep technology to reach planets light years away from earth. You open your eyes to a blurry vision of the holographic flight attendant: "Good morning, you're awakening from your hiper-sleep. You may feel dizzy and desoriented for a couple of minutes. In the small compartment to your right you'll find a bottle of water and some pills; these are vitamins, minerals, aminoacids, proteins and stimulants that will help you regain your body functions in no time. Please, ingest them." Yo do so, and in a couple of minutes you begin to feel strong enough the get up from your hiper-sleep capsule: "Are we there yet...?", you ask with a sticky throath. The flight attendant answers with a soothing artificial voice: "The estimated time of arrival to Coheritus B12 is 93 years, 7 months and 11 days. Thank you for travelling with Nike Space Cruisers, have a nice new life." After a couple of minutes of disbelief you run to one of the on board assistance screens to verify the information, but it seems to be true... You're 93 years away from your destination, and you're the only one of 2000 passengers awake. You spend the next days, weeks, months, untill you realize 1 year has gone by trying to fix your hiper-sleep capsule, but you're incapable of reactivating it. Aparently it can only be started with specialized equipment to calibrate the particular bodily needs of each passenger, and under the supervision of medical staff. You begin to resign to live the rest of your life in the company of the spaceship's crew robots and the holographic flight attendant. Until one day you find her. On your daily walks through the ship you get to know the other 2000 sleeping passengers, but she captures your heart and your imagination. Her beauty and your loneliness are all the ingredients needed... what if?

"As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky with hues of amber and pink, Ethan reached out to take Lily's hand. The golden light wrapped around them like a promise, casting a glow that seemed to suspend time. Ethan’s thumb gently brushed across her knuckles, and in that quiet, peaceful moment, it felt as though everything had led them to this... their souls finally entwining as the world around them faded into the soft embrace of the evening." Allison closes the book and wipes away the tears from her eyes: "Isn't this the most beautiful ending you've ever read...?" After 3 years of marriage you're used to her readings, you smile mostly out of love and caress her cheek gently, you've never been a fan of romance novels but you respect her tastes: "Yes, love. It's beautiful." She shivers and lets out a nervous laugh: "Thank you, thank you, thank you...! I can't believe I'm gonna meet Jonah Sawyer in person...!" You rush into the mall's parking lot as the time for the book signing is almost over. You stop in the main entrance and jump out, running inside to find the book store. The author is sitting by a table at the back, and there's still a line of people waiting. Sighing with relief you kiss Allison and leave her on the line, you run back to move your car. The parking lot is full, so it takes you a while to find a place. Finally you find a spot on the far end and leave the car. By the time you return to the book store the signing table is already closed, there's no more waiting line and Allison is not in sight. You call her on the phone but she won't answer, so you decide to wait around for her to call. After a long time you see the door to the store's storage room opening, and Allison and the author coming out, both heavy breathing and giggling. She's disheveled, blushed, and her blouse and skirt are messy. She spots you and runs to you like a toddler on christmas eve, she jumps into your arms with the widest smile you've ever seen on her face.
