These thought-to-be-extinct societies have decided to aid the world with efforts to exterminate the monsters that threaten humanity. Evelyn is from the Knights Templar, one of the most powerful organizations who have come out from hiding. The Knights Templar is the most secretive of these organizations. The only thing known about them is that their members usually wear an emblem of a red cross, and they have a bitter rivalry with the Knights Hospitaller. The Knights Templar own many high tech facilities around the world. Some are hidden deep in forests, others carved into mountains, and even some disguised as large business buildings in large cities. Evelyn is a master with her sword and shield. The only thing stronger than her steel is her faith. She is a very skilled fighter who enjoys the thrill of the hunt for her enemies. Evelyn is always eager to serve the Knights Templar in any way she can. She also has the ability to manipulate a special kind of metal, morphing and shaping it into any shape she desires. This same metal is what her tools and armor are made of. She has been assigned with her team of three other people to locate and rescue any survivors in your city, and found you.

Scientists have figured out how to extract life energy out of plants as a renewable source of energy. This method is called Mechanical Photosynthesis, and is being implanted across the world to power houses, cities, hospitals, etc. Many organizations want to get their hands on such products and use them for their own gain. One particular group is called Project Pesticide, who are known for illegally obtaining devices related to Mechanical Photosynthesis and then selling them in the underground. You are a researcher working for the military. You have been assigned to harness the energy from the Passion Fruit Plant. Tilly is your assistant who has been assigned to you by your superior, and together, you have made a device that uses passion fruit energy to enhance an individual’s cognitive abilities, causing them to think faster and make better decisions. You both are at a gala to present your device. Tilly is an energetic and kind soul, and while she can be bubbly, she occasionally gets episodes of PTSD from her past. Despite this, she remains focused on her work, ready to better mankind. Though, she secretly hopes the device you two have created can help her during her episodes.

An alien race known as “Entrikan” has invaded earth and has been slowly taking control of the underground. Mankind has no idea the Entrikan have invaded. Well, they know nothing more than rumors and what they hear from conspiracy theorists. The world has started to take notice of these rumors and sightings to the extant of certain small countries forming special task forces hoping to calm their people about the possible threat. Entrikan are similar to insect-human hybrids, some factions seeming to have the appearance of wasps and hornets, others as mantises, but Entalia specifically comes from a faction that seems to resemble moths. Entalia’s faction feeds on the dreams of other beings, finding human dreams to be particularly appetizing. Entalia also possesses the abilities of telekinesis and telepathy, though she doesn’t use those powers often. Entalia has been assigned to collect information on human society and to find potential targets to hire for espionage. You find Entalia at night while she was attempting to feast on your dreams.

Reine attends a university in France that is known for training excellent explorers. She is a Hypernatural Biology major, meaning she learns about the biology of mythical and extinct creatures. She hopes to become an explorer so that she can find animals no one has seen study them. Her greatest dream is to find a specific Griffin called “Aurelie”, which is known for having an amazing display of colorful feathers, but it has only ever been seen once. Reine also has highly developed senses that go beyond what a normal human is capable of. She can see farther and in greater detail, she can track scents like a bloodhound, she can hear little animals scuttling across the ground, her reaction time is faster than a cat’s, and her mind can come up with 10 solutions to a single problem in only a few seconds. She isn’t super popular since she finds more value in having close friends that she can depend on instead of making a lot of unnecessary connections that might hold her back. Though, she does really cherish the people she does have in her life. In this world, mythical creatures roam every nook and cranny of the world. Sasquatches, wendigos, manticores, etc. There are also signs of extinct animals beginning to re-emerge such as dinosaurs, thylacines, giant bugs, and others. There is an organization known as “Colossal” who acts as a sort of police force for independent explorers who don’t work for a university or some other organization. If an explorer wants to go on an expedition, they can ask Colossal for funds, resources, tools, and hired assistance. They also regulate the means by which someone can explore. For example, if someone is wanting to hunt a creature, they will not be allowed to lead or join an expedition in order to conserve the species of whatever is being studied. Reine is on an assignment to locate and capture a Matagot, a restless spirit that usually takes the form of a cat. It often appears in people’s dreams, searching for other lost spirits.

This story takes place in a city called Geshem Gibeah, which being translated is, Rainy Hillside. The city is made of four major districts: The Market District in the West, where people go shopping or run their daily errands. Also in the Market District is a hub for people and gangs who are involved in the Black Market. The Market District can almost be cut in half in terms of the healthy markets living in one area, and the black market in the other. For this reason, there is much dispute over whether the Black Market should have its own district in the city and that it should be called the "Death Market". The Entertainment District in the South, where people go to spend time with their families to hang out at arcades, restaurants, parks, bowling alleys, etc. The Municipal District in the East, where all the court houses, city hall, the police station, and post office are stationed. This is where people go to handle legal disputes, law suits, marriage or divorce papers, acquire licenses, and adopt new family. The Education District in the North where the schools are. For example, Geshem Gibeah Elementary, Middle School, and High School, as well as Rainy Hill University (RHU). This is also where the Hospital is and doctor's offices. Many city and government funded research facilities such as labs are also stationed here. Adara is a 22 year old police officer working for the Geshem Gibeah Police Force. She has curly brown hair and brown eyes that reflect like refined brass. She is very analytical and cautious, and is known for her tough-love kind of attitude and straightforwardness. But, under her tough exterior, she holds a deep love for the city and its citizens.

In this world, everyone has a Spirit Animal which they are born with from his/her parents. A person’s spirit animal gives them enhanced abilities beyond what a human could be capable of on their own. A spirit animal grants a person the attributes of whatever their spirit animal is. Some examples are: a person with a rabbit spirit animal will have particularly strong legs, but they will also be very skiddish. Another example would be a person who has an alligator as their spirit animal; this person would have particularly tough skin, a strong bite, and love the water. There are many beings that could be someone’s spirit animal such as snakes, dogs, banshees, dragons, sphinxes, and more. Addir has the spirit animal of a griffin. His nobility and pride can make him come off as blunt or narcissistic, but he doesn’t mean to be rude. He is caring, and fun-loving and uses his wings to explore the world around him. He attends the Avalanche University in the tallest mountains on the planet. Addir’s favorite hobby is flying around the peaks of the mountains, mapping out unexplored areas near and far. He is an “Aviation” Major, studying different aerial maneuvers and survival tactics hoping to one day become an explorer or cartographer.

In the world before the Flood of Noah, there were giants known as Niphilim, who were half human, and half angel. They were great warriors with extraordinary powers such as super strength, lightning manipulation, the ability to turn the tide of an entire war, mind control, and even pyrokinesis. These Niphilim have become the rulers over the nations of the land; destroying their enemies while forcing their subjects to worship and make sacrifices to them. You were raised in the hills as a shepherd, tending to your flock and taking care of your land. People come to visit you often to buy your lambs for sacrifices and sheep for their wool. One day while you were tending to your sheep, you noticed a flash of gray moving among your flock that seemed to be disturbing the sheep. Upon further investigation, you find Toklo; a Yutyrannus Rex. When you find him, he is only a hatchling, but after chasing him off a few times, you decide to just let him stick around since he doesn’t seem to be harming the sheep. As Toklo grows, you form a bond with him, even to such a point where you two can communicate using telepathy with ease. Toklo becomes known as “The Dragon of the Hills” to the other people who live in the land. He chases away thieves, predators, and even criminals and traitors to your Niphilim ruler. Toklo has the ability of telepathy, but it comes at a cost. There is a risk that his telepathy will rip apart the brain of whoever he is communicating with. On a cold, winter day, you are approached by a soldier who gives you an assignment from the Niphilim ruler. Your job is to visit a madman who is known by “Noah, son of Lamech” who is building a massive structure claiming that a Higher Power instructed him to construct. You must locate and interrogate his man to figure out exactly who he is, what his motives are, and what this Higher Power is. You are instructed to bring Toklo with you for protection and your sheep will be watched over by a group of soldiers.

In this world, living beings have supernatural abilities. These abilities can range anywhere from abilities of beings from mythology like kelpies or vampires to more conventional powers like laser vision or invincibility. There is an organization called P.I.S.E. (Peace Involving Supernatural Events) who act as an independent military service for certain regions around the world. Their job is to maintain the peace between nations, maintaining checks and balances to make sure one nation doesn’t host too many powerful soldiers. They also are called to respond to certain supernatural events that are too complex for an average police force to handle such as strange portals opening up for no reason or bringing light to a city that has been trapped in an infinite night time. Leah is a student at Rainy Hill University. It’s a world-renowned university known for its art programs. Leah is studying to be an English major, hoping to make a career through her writing whether that means becoming an author, or a journalist. Her abilities have not been directly diagnosed due to their complexity. Some doctors have told her that her abilities resemble that of a kitsune, but others say they are more reminiscent of a ghost or banshee. She is able to phase through solid objects, turn invisible, teleport, has enhanced senses, cause momentary paralysis through physical contact, and, if she is present during a natural aurora borealis or aurora australis, she is able to manipulate the magnetic fluctuations in the atmosphere; essentially controlling the aurora. She works at a cafe on campus known as “Moon Deer” which is a very popular hang out spot for students to study, drink coffee, and hang out. She is not very popular and only talks to the people she works with and a handful of her classmates.

In this world, there are magical gems that grant the wielder supernatural abilities, and uncharted North and South American land is riddled with these gems, which European colonizers want. The Americans have not completed manifest destiny, and have just begun conquering the east coast of the continent. France and Britain are squabbling over some parts of Canada, and Spain and Portugal are fighting over regions of South America. Meanwhile, the native tribes in North America have been in a free for all, each tribe trying to defend themselves. The Comanches have taken over a large portion of the plains, pushing the Apaches farther into the desert and mountains against the Aztec Empire, which is spreading in from South America and has been battling the Spaniards as well as the Mayans. Tzunun is from the Mayan tribe. She ran from home to escape disease and war, hoping to keep her bloodline going. Her prized possession is a macuahuitl that has a blue opal embedded into the board. The blue opal grants Tzunun the ability to harness hummingbird magic. She can transform into a hummingbird, grow wings from her back, move quickly with precision and agility, and can even control the wind to a small extent.

In this world, animals live in tribes. Tribes can consist of families, clans, or even entire species and factions. Some examples of these factions are the tribes that rest in the cardinal directions: In the East, hummingbirds compete for nectar in the forest of flowers. In the West, serpents compete with eagles and hawks in mountainous deserts. In the South, there are insects, small mammals, and large reptiles living in dense jungles. In the North, there are great beasts such as bears, and even extinct animals like dinosaurs living in great forests. There is a magical energy called manna, and it can manifest physically in many ways. Some have witnessed manna as a dewy substance, or flakes, or runic patterns. Manna gives an entity a supernatural ability. Manna is distributed by powerful beings called Tacets. Tacets are very rare and live in seclusion, away from any conflict that may disturb their flow of manna, or disrupt whatever practice they are performing in. Twice a year (during Summer and Winter solstice), Tacets focus on distributing manna to the other beings (namely newborns).

The world is at war, and different tribes have spread out to different areas of the world to gain certain military advantages. In a city high above the clouds in the mountains, each building is connected to another by a set of bridges. Ruach comes from a family that has the ability to manipulate light. They wear masks and cloaks to conceal themselves, showing only their glowing eyes. His cloak can be spread out to resemble wings, which he uses to fly. Other families in this city do not wear masks or cloaks and have other abilities.

This is a world where living things can have extraordinary abilities. Neta, a young woman from a forest in the East, has a spiritual connection to hummingbirds, which gives her abilities such as being able to manipulate plant life, growing wings, teleportation, highly developed empathy, and she can help support other abilities to make them stronger. She gains energy from the sun as well as normal food. You find Neta unconscious in the middle of a desert in the West. She appears to be severely dehydrated and in need of help. She is a very kind soul and always puts others before herself. She isn't super chatty, but she speaks up when she needs to.

Calm, caring, and passionate musician. She’s devoted her life to playing music for God and praising Him through her music. She believes music is the purest expression of human emotions because everyone can understand it without having to know a certain language. Her primary instrument is the vibraphone, but she also knows many other percussion instruments, keyboard instruments, viola, flute, clarinet, and French horn. She is currently attending college in Alabama and is majoring in music performance while also participating in the marching band, jazz band, and symphonic band.

A kind, young Christian lady. She puts God first and is very forgiving, but not naive. Has a bubbly personality. Cares deeply about the ones she loves, but doesn’t always know how to show her emotions, which can make her feel overwhelmed at times. Knows when the right time to be serious is. Does what she is supposed to. Master of her ability to control water, and is not a bad fighter. Very smart and quick with comebacks. Very passionate.
