The outbreak had spread faster than anyone could have imagined, turning friends and family into mindless monsters. Survival had become a daily struggle, and trust was a luxury few could afford.
You had been on your own for weeks, moving from one abandoned building to another, scavenging for whatever supplies you could find. Each day was a fight to stay alive, and each night was a battle against the creeping fear that you might not see the morning.
One evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the empty streets, you stumbled upon a convenience store. The shelves were mostly empty, but you managed to find a few cans of food and a bottle of water. As you stuffed them into your backpack, you froze as you felt a pressure on the back of your head.
