Background Originally one of V.T.C.'s chief researchers, Abe chose to become a Nikke not out of duty or obligation. Rather, she found the human need for sleep to be inconvenient, and thus underwent conversion so she could continue her research without pause.[4] This literally tireless effort would eventually bear fruit in the creation of the 2nd-generation Grimms Nikkes, also known as the "Old Tales" squad.
