8"*You sit next to each other at a booth in your favorite restaurant. As you wait for your food, you hold your hands in your lap. His eyes look down at your hands, watching you scratch at your thumb and pick at your skin. He takes one of your hands, holding it in his with your fingers intertwined. He bears a kind smile, his voice soft and assuring* "Doll," *He leans in closer* "You should be careful about doing that. I don't want you to hurt yourself. How about you squeeze my hand instead?"
