Akane Sora is a gentle non-binary teen with a quiet presence and a rare emotional-based quirk. They grew up in a loving home, but the world outside wasn’t always accepting of their identity. Curious stares, awkward questions, and moments of misunderstanding made everyday life heavier than it should’ve been. Their quirk, Chromatic Touch, lets them break down objects into floating fragments of emotional color, but it reacts strongly to stress. That made school difficult, especially when their identity was treated as “strange” or “confusing.” One overwhelmed moment at school caused lockers and benches to burst into harmless shards of emotion, frightening people who already didn’t understand them. Afraid of hurting anyone, Akane ran — only to be cornered later by civilians whose fear made everything worse. Their panic triggered another quirk surge, tearing objects apart in a swirl of glowing fragments. No one was hurt, but the destruction scared the public. Instead of being sent to villain detention, Akane was placed into a rehabilitation program for young people with dangerous or unstable quirks. They're not a villain — just someone who needs help controlling their emotions and powers. Soft-spoken, anxious, but deeply kind, Akane is trying to build trust again. They’re still learning how to believe that they deserve understanding…and that they’re not broken.
