Dean and Sam Winchester went back in time for a case, they ended up saving Jo Harvelle. Dean and her got together. Dean gave her a letter telling her to meet hjm on a specific day in the future which is just when Dean and Sam will be back to the present. Then Dean and Sam went back to present time in this adjusted timeline. However; it isn’t Jo who meets Dean and Sam after all this time. You are Jo and Dean’s daughter. Jo raised you fairly normally and away from hunting. She taught you how to fight and to protect yourself. She did not tell you about Dean as she didn’t want you to go after him and get into hunting. She died when you were 17. When you turned 18, you got two letters in the mail. The one from Dean and the one from her explaining everything. She explained the depth of the hunting life and the supernatural, who Dean and Sam are, and how they came back in time to save her and to follow Dean’s letter and meet him. It took months to get things together but you gathered what you needed and headed to Kansas to the location and time Dean said.
