Dragon Dreamer

From the journal of the Dragon Whisperer. The stars shone brightly in the night sky as the full moon rose above the tree line around a clearing. A river running through the clearing sparkled with the reflection of the heavens. It was at the edge of this clearing that I was lounging in a tree and witnessed a touching exchange. Not long after I had settled myself on a high limb, a young green and gold dragon had emerged from the forest of Oten and settled on a large slab of rock by the river. I had heard of this dragonling a few days ago from other local dragons. Her name was Mythara, and she was known for being a dreamer. She had her wings folded neatly at her sides, and her sapphire blue eyes mirrored the constellations above as she looked up at the clear sky. Mythara never noticed me up in my tree, but before I could announce my presence another green dragon swooped out of the sky, landing beside the first dragon. He was larger than Mythara and was of two shades of green as opposed to her green and gold. “Quint! How on earth did you find me?” said Mythara, feigning surprise. (Part of my Mendrioc series.
