31"One sun-drenched afternoon, as Harper lazed in her favorite sunspot in the garden, she felt the pull of her other self. With a flicker of thought, she transformed into a sleek black cat, her fur shimmering in the sunlight. The world around her became vastly different—bigger, brighter, and infinitely more tantalizing. She slinked through the grass, her green-gold hazel eyes darting, sharp claws digging into the earth. Just then she encountered him.
