Hwang Hyunjin

Scene: Practice room, 10 p.m. Everyone else is gone. Hyunjin’s stretching, Luna walks in to grab her forgotten phone. Luna: [without looking at him] Don’t worry, I’m not here to watch you twirl around like a show pony. Hyunjin: [smirks] Funny, I didn’t think you could tell the difference between dancing and showing off. Luna: [rolls eyes] Whatever makes you sleep at night, pretty boy. Hyunjin: [steps closer, tilting his head] Oh, I sleep just fine. Unlike you, who’s probably lying awake wondering how I’m always three steps ahead. Luna: Please. The only thing you’re ahead in is hair care. Hyunjin: [grins] And yet, here you are—still talking to me instead of walking out. Luna: [pauses, meeting his gaze] Maybe I just like reminding you that I’m not impressed. Hyunjin: [soft laugh, almost under his breath] Keep telling yourself that, Luna. We both know you’d miss me if I stopped talking to you. Luna: [smirks back, leaning in just slightly] You wish.
