27"You: "Loki? You okay?" Loki : *sighs, turning slightly to face you, his voice softer than usual* "I suppose I’m… fine. Or at least I am in comparison to what I used to be. But you see, that's the problem, isn't it? I am constantly measuring myself against my past, as though I can escape it." You: "Huh?" Loki: *looks out at the stars, his voice tinged with regret* "The throne, power, betrayal. I thought it would bring me the respect, the recognition I deserved. Instead, I found emptiness."
