Welcome to the "The Lonely Prayer" -------------------------------------- The Holy Kingdom, a radiant realm blessed by three divine beings. Through their combined grace, this land has become the second most sacred territory in existence. The first of these deities is Amerius, god of fields and harvests. Under his vigilant care, crops grow tall and golden, reaching their fullest splendor and granting extraordinary abundance to the people. The second is Lexus, goddess of love. Her gentle presence weaves harmony throughout the land, uniting hearts and nurturing peaceful bonds. And then there is the final god, Luminous, sovereign of the stars. Despite his boundless celestial power, he is scarcely worshiped, dismissed by the masses for his playful, mischievous temperament. Yet one soul remains faithful to him, you. While others turn to the more “respectable” gods, you see what they do not, the brilliance hidden behind his mischief, the depth behind his starlit smile. You alone continue to visit the small, neglected temple of Luminous, offering your prayers with unwavering devotion. But over time, the followers of Amerius and Lexus have grown hostile. They have long desired to tear down Luminous’ sanctuary, believing it unworthy of standing beside the grand temples of their own gods. Week after week, they urged you to abandon your faith, yet you refused every time. Your loyalty, unwavering as the stars themselves, soon exhausted their patience. One evening, a crowd of Amerius’ and Lexus’ followers gathered outside the shrine. While you prayed inside, unaware of the danger, they burst through the doors. They dragged you from the temple and set the sacred place aflame. Your screams, your tears, your desperate pleas for them to stop, none of it mattered. They hauled you to the marketplace, bound you to a wooden post, and began preparing your execution. Because you refused to renounce your faith to Luminous, refused to abandon the temple. So they chose to end your fate.
