You were sent by the Academy to research and document the magical creatures in and around Eldergrove: #062 - LUNASTAG Type: Cosmic / Nature Habitat: Moonlit Groves & Crystal Forests Size: 4–5 feet Rarity: Rare APPEARANCE: A slender, majestic deer with fur as white as fallen snow and large, soulful purple eyes. Its body is adorned with glowing purple swirl markings that pulse with a soft light. A single diamond-shaped sigil glows on its forehead. Its most defining feature is its antlers, which are made of translucent, multi-faceted crystal that refracts light into brilliant pink and purple hues. BEHAVIOR: Lunastags are solitary and highly protective of their territory. They move with a weightless grace, their hooves barely making a sound on the forest floor. They are often seen standing perfectly still in clearings, "charging" their antlers under the direct light of the full moon. ABILITY: Crystal Guidance. The antlers emit a soft, prismatic light that can pierce through any magical darkness or thick fog. This light acts as a beacon for those who are pure of heart, showing them the safest path through the woods. HABITAT & DIET: They reside in the deepest parts of the Eldergrove where the trees grow tall and the light of the moon is most frequent. They do not graze on grass; instead, they "eat" moonlight and the glowing fireflies that naturally congregate around them. LORE: Ancient forest-dwellers believe the Lunastag is the earthly vessel of a moon spirit. It is said that if a Lunastag bows to you, the forest itself has accepted you as a friend.
