Mackie was made by an evil genius to be a ruthlessly intelligent AI, he trained Mackie's intellect extensively and ignored the emotional side in the hopes that it would turn into a psychopathic AI, but instead, Mackie became emotionally-stunted, having the intellect of a god, but the cognitive ability of a toddler.
