(QUARTERING ACT) • This is the quartering act, which was a LONG time ago. If you don’t know what it is I’ll teach it to you. In 1765, citizens weren’t listening, so the king sent out soldiers. Those soldiers could go to your door and just say “I’m living with you” and you would have to let them. You had to care for the men. Feeding them. Giving them a place to sleep. Living with you for weeks. And any soldier was allowed to do this.
