Their most distinctive and magical feature: tails made entirely of voluminous clusters of delicate pink cherry blossoms—not fur, but actual living flower petals seamlessly integrated with their bodies. BEHAVIOR: Petalbun are devoted cherry blossom guardians who live exclusively in and around cherry tree groves. They're peaceful, gentle creatures who spend their days sitting contentedly beneath blooming trees, their blossom-tails blending perfectly with falling petals. They communicate through soft cooing sounds and gentle nose-twitches. ABILITY: Their primary ability is encouraging cherry blossom health and bloom abundance—trees they frequent bloom more magnificently, with fuller flowers and longer bloom periods. Their petal-tails never wilt—remaining perpetually fresh and beautiful regardless of season. HABITAT & DIET: Found exclusively in cherry blossom groves throughout Eldergrove and Eldertown's parks—anywhere cherry trees grow abundantly. They create soft nests beneath trees lined with fallen petals and moss. They feed on flower nectar, tender tree shoots, morning dew and clover. LORE: Petalbun are beloved symbols of spring and renewal. Since Sage's arrival and her cultivation of cherry orchards, they've become more numerous, drawn to flourishing trees.
