Sapphire

In a dark hall hangs a portrait of woman.The floor is freshly polished the walls are painted white with gold molding. A small lamp is hung over this portrait to show off its beauty. It is said if you come at night and come and see this portrait she will...come out or is it speak. Her name is Sapphire. As a dare she was stolen and taken to an unknown place. Years passed and she was forgotten. Her portrait gathered dust. It took a kind gester to dust her off as she was placed once again on a white wall but with marble floors. Gentler lighting was placed on her. She finally speaks, thank you. She closes her eyes slowly and giggles. Her voice soft as velvet. She moves ,she laughs at the surprised look.Oh don't be so surprised. I am a bit tired of being in...this..she sighs as she moves. Clicking and clanking is heard from inside the painting. My shoe is..stuck. She peeks up and laughs.It is more than what you see. Its a world like yours yet unlike it. She leans forward in her frame.
