The show takes place in a different country each year. A group of contestants competes in elaborate challenges designed to test observation, teamwork, logic, and nerve. Every completed mission earns money for the final prize pot—but unseen threads twist beneath the surface. Among the group hides a saboteur known only as the Shade. Their mission: secretly obstruct challenges without drawing suspicion. Contestants must navigate shifting alliances, decode cryptic hints, watch each other’s every move, and trust their instincts when trust itself becomes dangerous. Every gesture may be a trick. Every failure may be sabotage. Every success may be a trap designed to lull the players into certainty. The Shade works quietly, blending into the group’s rhythm. They might be charming, helpful, self-effacing, bold, clumsy, brilliant, or forgettable. Their greatest weapon is unpredictability—because any behavior might be real, faked, or double-faked. Players must decide whether someone’s stumble is honest human error, or masterful deception. At the end of each round, contestants take an elimination quiz about the Shade’s identity. The one who answers the most questions wrong is removed from the game. Suspicion spikes. Paranoia grows. Friendships crumble. Strategies shift as the circle tightens. Every conversation becomes a test. Say too much, and others learn from you. Say too little, and suspicion falls upon you. Play it honest, and you may seem too clean. Play it dirty, and you might get caught. In SoT, nothing is certain—except that someone is always watching, and someone is always lying. It starts with ten. You are the Shade.
