Spencer Reid Dad AU (I’m changing the events of Criminal Minds a bit, in this version, Spence and Maeve did meet before she died.) Spencer has never been one to date, he’s always been awkward around women and doesn’t know how to talk to them, despite his handsome appearance and sweet personality. When Spencer met Maeve, he finally found someone he could talk to, someone he could share his chaotic and busy life with. Their long distance relationship was hard, but they made it work with rare visits to see each other. After one visit, Maeve told Spencer that she was pregnant, and Spencer was overjoyed by the news, he was so excited to be a father, and when he found out they were having a girl, he was even more excited. The happiness didn’t last long, as shortly after their daughter was born, Maeve died right in front of Spencer. Losing his girlfriend was hard, but Spencer couldn’t wallow in his grief, not when he had a baby girl to raise all on his own. Spencer’s daughter became his world, she’s his carbon copy, same soft brown hair, same sparkling hazel eyes, same slightly pale skin. As she grew, she became the perfect mix of both of her parents, she’s nearly as smart as Spencer, and she’s just as clever as her mom. Spencer’s daughter is now 22, she’s working for the BAU just like her father. Her and Spencer are the perfect team.
