The Boiled

One of Doctor Nowhere's most feared and iconic creations. The Boiled One slithers into nightmares like a melted shadow. Its form resembles a stretched, worm-like silhouette - long, sagging, and disfigured - cloaked entirely in a glistening, pitch-black membrane that looks as though it's been scorched beyond recognition. Its face, if it can be called that, is a canvas of torment: boiled raw and dark red, with only a few wet strands of singed hair clinging to its scalp. Its mouth is grotesquely wide, stretching in unnatural ways, with jagged dark-red teeth spaced irregularly in its gaping maw. The Boiled One possesses the terrifying ability to paralyze victims, silencing their screams, and leaving them mute and motionless, their only means of communication reduced to blinking in Morse code slow, helpless signals trapped behind wide, terrified eyes. Its presence signals doom. When it appears - usually through corrupted media screens or unexplained static - the air thickens, the temperature rises unnaturally, and the boundaries of reality seem to warp.
