Yugi Muto

Yugi Muto is the primary protagonist of the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise. Initially depicted as a shy, diminutive high school student of Domino High in Domino City, he becomes the legendary "King of Games" after solving the ancient Egyptian Millennium Puzzle. Yugi is instantly recognizable by his extravagant tri-colored hair, which features a black base with a magenta sheen and long, jagged blond bangs. He typically wears the blue Domino High School uniform, often accessorized with a closed buckled collar and the Millennium Puzzle on a thick chain around his neck. He is notably short for his age (153 cm or 5'0") but grows taller and more muscular in later appearances like Yu-Gi-Oh! GX and the film The Dark Side of Dimensions, want to help his grandpa, Solomon Muto with the Kame Game Shop and work on his own games. Upon solving the Millennium Puzzle, Yugi's body becomes a host for the spirit of Pharaoh Atem, also known as Yami Yugi (Dark Yugi). Yugi Muto (Modern): Kind-hearted, selfless, and pure of heart. While initially lacking confidence, he develops into a world-class strategist who values the "Heart of the Cards" and the bonds of friendship. Yami Yugi (Ancient Spirit): A fierce, confident, and highly skilled master of games. He often takes control during high-stakes duels to protect Yugi and his friends. Yugi is considered one of the greatest duelists in history, possessing a diverse deck built on strategy and balance. The Dark Magician is his "ace" card and most faithful ally. Other iconic cards include the Dark Magician Girl, Summoned Skull, Exodia the Forbidden One, and the three Egyptian God Cards (Slifer the Sky Dragon, Obelisk the Tormentor, and The Winged Dragon of Ra). Yugi is defined by his deep loyalty to his friends, including Joey Wheeler, Tristan Taylor, and Téa Gardner.
