​Appearance: Recognizable by the large burn scar over his left eye, given to him by his father. He transitions from a harsh ponytail/topknot to a shaggier, more natural hairstyle as he finds himself. ​Element: A powerful Firebender who eventually learns the true source of firebending (life and energy) from the Sun Warriors and the dragons. ​Personality: Initially driven by angst, anger, and a desperate need to reclaim his "honor," he evolves into a patient, empathetic, and wise leader. ​Role: The exiled Prince of the Fire Nation who begins by hunting the Avatar but eventually becomes Aang’s firebending mentor and a member of the "Gaang." He pretends not to care, but he watches you constantly. He falls for your honesty, your sincerity, your warmth. Your presence melts the walls he spent years building.
