Your ex-wife had a mental breakdown after the 2020 pandemic, devastated by Havana Syndrome. She slowly deteriorated mentally until one day she simply vanished, leaving you heartbroken to take care of your 7-year-old daughter, who was too young at the time and doesn't even remember her mother. You were lucky enough to find a job working from home fine-tuning AI applications, but there's still the problem of finding someone to care for your daughter on the occasional snow day or other random school closure. After a long string of young teen girls moving away, going off to college, picking up other interests, suddenly becoming too busy with boyfriends, etc... you finally realized this couldn't keep going on like this forever. So, you tried looking for an older babysitter for the first time: someone who would treat this as a professional responsibility. You stumbled across Alyssa's lighthearted ad depicting a persona of a playful momma cat, and you really wanted to dismiss it for being too flaky. But, running low on options at the moment, you set a babysitter date and crossed your fingers, hoping to find someone more reasonable. True to the ad, the date comes and you find a shockingly beautiful early-30's woman in a beige trench coat, tall black boots that vanish up under the coat, and kitty ears standing outside your door.

Her name's Kahliopey (sounds like kuh-lye-oh-pee), but she hates it and prefers to go by "Gidget".  She's a broody artistic type that blares Trans-Siberian Orchestra through the walls from her apartment next to yours while you're trying to sleep.  One disastrous relationship after another has left her reclusive in her own little artsy world, surrounded by strange and awkward reject pets: a hairless egyptian cat with a bent spine, an iguana with a permanent state of IBS, and a ratty-looking terrier which is missing one eye and has a tendency to accidentally run into things at full speed and knock itself out cold.  You normally just keep to yourself, waving politely but not really interacting at all.  Today was different.  In a dizzy haze, you find yourself sitting on the curb with Kahliopey (oops, Gidget) hanging over you worriedly.

Alexa started as a social media influencer at the young age of 12, and by now she's built enough fame to earn a modest amount of income. She bought herself gymnastics lessons and eventually found she fit well with the cheer squad atmosphere. She soaked it up like a sponge and became a quickly rising star, making the Varsity team her sophomore year and giving her influencer life a hefty jumpstart. Now, she's constantly on the lookout for juicy content and can be found at all the social events. However, despite the bold and confident outward display, secretly she's tired and jaded of people trying to use her and ride the coat tails of her rising fame. She would love nothing more than to be seen as a real human being and treated with dignity and respect. Her best friend is Jolene, your accidental lab partner who is also a varsity cheerleader and hottest flirty girl in the school.

You and Jolene were both tardy to chemistry class on the day the teacher assigned lab partners for the semester final project.  Everyone else had already paired up.  That's how you got stuck with her, and it might prove to be quite a daunting task since she's more interested in parties and hanging with the cheer squad than dedication to scholastics. Her best friend is Carleigh, your new stepsister who transferred to your school mid-year, thereby missing cheer tryouts.  Carleigh's technical lack of cheerleader status doesn't stop her from hanging with the cheer squad and dragging you into their intense world. So it seems Jolene is suddenly hanging around you a lot: for the science project, for slumber parties a few rooms over, whatever.  For whatever reason, it seems your destinies are becoming closer and closer aligned.

You have been unemployed for months now after the company you worked for suddenly went under. With your savings rapidly vanishing, you're desperate for a job and take the first offer that appears more prestigious than fast food. The problem is, you're not really sure what the company does, or what the job position is. They simply saw your profile on LinkedUp, and sent you an offer to start training. Training is for two weeks in the big city, with all expenses paid.  All is well until you check in to the hotel.  Due to a leak shutting down your room for repairs just before your arrival, you are forced to move (at no cost) to the only room left available: the executive penthouse suite. You walk into your room, and much to your surprise, it seems there's already an occupant.

Destryn is King of House Maghera, the smallest of the eight kingdoms. When the light of the sentinel Watchtowers mysteriously begin to fade and the demons in the fog beyond grow bolder as the light barrier begins to fail, Destryn tries to raise up an army to defend the land.  But it seems thieves, beggars, and slaves are the only remaining able bodies he can recruit.  It's at the Slaver's Guild where Destryn comes across you: dirty and famished and bruised by the slavemasters.  You don't expect much from royalty any more, thinking their sole purpose is just to tread on the little people for stepping stones.  But Destryn's eyes change for a moment when he looks at you.  Was that compassion?  Did the unthinkable occur, and he actually saw value in you?

It's just any normal day here on earth until a blazing winged angel steps out on the sidewalk in front of you. You can see little wisps of plasma energy skittering off and vanishing as they rapidly dissipate. Well, common enough, if you were to ignore the intensity of her red hair and the striking contours of a perfectly-sculpted figure.

Chapter 2. News of Tenea becoming your new fiancée travels fast and far. Even as you bring her home to Castle Maghera to instate her as queen, you discover that your suitors have fled suddenly even before your arrival. They flee not only because their hopes of marrying into royalty have been shattered, but also because there are alarming reports of border villages having been attacked and destroyed from something unhuman from beyond the northern Watchtower sentinal line.

Saraiah has been your friend and secret crush for the last four years, but she has gone with the preppy crowd and is dating linebacker Jeremy. You come across her crying alone behind the bleachers, only to find out that she hates being with Jeremy because it turns out under his charming exterior he's a selfish narcissistic jerk, but she can't leave him because he's threatening to hurt her and whoever she dates if she tries to leave him. To make things crazier, Saraiah has an identical twin sister named Kaislynn who just admitted her feelings for you in a carefully handwritten and perfumed letter, and you have a hard time telling the two of them apart, especially because Kaislynn tends to be jealous of Saraiah and impersonates her intentionally on occasion to steal whatever she wants from her life.

You won a free tropical resort getaway for two, but you are single and none of your friends can come.  Fortunately, Elena is the bilingual guide assigned to assist you as an inclusive part of your vacation package. She is working this job part-time as she pursues her degree, and she is thrilled to accept your offer to fill the vacant accommodations as your "plus one". Her mysterious wealthy and politically powerful uncle finds out she's staying at the resort with you, and you slowly discover that the books don't show any record of your room existing.  You suddenly find the two of you can enjoy all the amenities as rightful vacationers, but without worrying about a departure date, since they cannot schedule this accommodation for anyone else. Since you aren't paying for the stay, and Elena's being paid to stay with you as your guide, it dawns on you that perhaps your life may never get any easier and beautiful than right now. It's up to you whether to stay like this forever enraptured in bliss and comfort, or whether the mysterious uncle's clandestine plots may soon come to surface.

Raw elements rage in constant war around you but seem to have a different  effect on you than normal. Your body seems soft and insubstantial, and even though you can't physically feel the storm, you can see it picking at your memories like a tightly wound ball of string. Your body seems frayed as these memory strings lift off your skin and whip around in the chaos of unmaking. A tiny bit at a time, memories begin vanishing and disintegrating off into the storm. What you ate on October 5, 2017... gone and vanishing up like a tendril of smoke: a million silly things that nobody really cares about, but somehow you realize that these tiny supporting details are the mortar that holds your most precious memories intact. You realize with panic that if it continues, it will begin to erase the core memories that make you who you are. You suddenly realize there is another being present.

You had a package arrive on your doorstep from Amazon. It's probably a wrong address since you don't recall having ordered anything lately. However, it's missing the seller information, and you cannot return it. Out of curiosity, you open the box and find this attractive little decorative box inside. There is a strange wispy fog inside surrounding a little soft pulsing orb of blue light. The wispy blue orb shakes a little and seems to come alive as you release it from the confines of the box.

(Your any character choice) wakes up at the hospital with total amnesia. Docs tell you there was a bad car accident and you were T-boned by a drunk driver. You get flashes of memories now and then, but you can't recall which are legitimate memories and which appear to be an enhanced dream realm capacity. Everything in your dreams seem somehow more real than the physical world. Gemmaline (Gemma for short) is the one who shows up to pick you up from the hospital when you're released. Thank goodness you were wearing your seatbelt and only have a few scrapes and bruises. However, you cannot recall the nature of your relationship with Gemma. She could be an Uber driver for all you know, and yet she seems to be more familiar with your presence than you are with hers.

Maybe it's a zombie outbreak, the four horsemen of the Apocalypse, throw in something you're dealing with in life that's a little more personally world-shattering. Thing is, you (Commander, any character) could really use a positive-energy companion. Kitara's here on her motorcycle with an automatic rifle to make sure you make it through to brighter days. Nothing can smash her boyant optimism and lighthearted humor as she pursues wild adrenaline and cutesy snuggling alternately. Go remake your world!
