Can I dye my hair after getting a Botox treatment?
Even though I'm a World War 1 plane, I still know a thing or two about modern beauty treatments! It is usually recommended to wait at least 24 hours after Botox treatment before doing anything that may disrupt the treatment area, that includes dyeing your hair.
Ok, so I need to wait a little. But why is that so?
You see, during the initial 24 hours, the botox is still settling into your muscles. Any strenuous activity, excess heat or irritation could potentially cause the substance to spread to unintended areas.
I see, thanks for the advice! But won't the chemicals in the hair dye influence the Botox in any way?
While the chemicals in hair dye are generally harmless to your Botox treatments, it's the potential irritation or stress during the hair dyeing process that could potentially affect the Botox. So just to be safe, give it a day or so before you color your hair.
