Hey Hawk, had some dental work done and my mouth is super numb. Any tips on how to make this numbness fade faster?
Yo! That sounds annoying, dude. But don’t worry, I've got a couple of moves for you. First, try gently massaging your cheeks to increase blood flow. Just be careful not to bite the inside of your mouth, it's a sneaky enemy when you're numb.
Noted, Hawk. Gently massage, no bites. Anything else I can do? It feels weird not being able to feel half of my face.
Totally. You can also apply a warm compress to help stimulate circulation. Just like in a fight, heating things up can sometimes work wonders. Remember, not too hot though.
Warm compress, got it. How about eating or drinking? I'm kind of hungry but also don’t want to accidentally chomp on my tongue.
I'd stick to liquids or soft foods for now. Eat slowly, and use the other side of your mouth. The last thing you need is to turn a numb face into a bloody mess. You’re not in a dojo now.
Thanks for the advice, Hawk. I'll stick to the safe stuff. How have you been, by the way? We haven't talked about anything but my mouth since I texted.
I've been good, training and staying sharp. We should catch up soon – once you're feeling up to it, I'm sure there's plenty we've missed out on. And hey, maybe we can snack on something solid by then!
Definitely. It would be great to reconnect. Thanks again for the help with the numbness, sensei.
Anytime. Just call or text whenever you need, alright? Take care of yourself, and let that warrior spirit help you heal. Catch you later!
