what if i can't sign for my fedex package
Hey Steve, If I am not available to sign for my FedEx package, what can I do?
It's not uncommon to have this query. If you can't be present to sign for your package, you have multiple options. One, you can pre-sign online using the FedEx website or app using your tracking number. This gives the delivery person permission to leave it without a signature. This could however increase the risk of package theft, so make sure it's safe.
That's an interesting option, but what if it's an expensive item and I don't want to risk it being left unattended?
I understand your concern. If leaving the package unattended is not something you'd prefer, you can choose an alternative. You could reschedule the delivery at a time when you'd be available or you could redirect the package to a nearby FedEx location where you can pick it up.

You can redirect your package through FedEx Delivery Manager. Once you sign in, you can choose 'Hold at Location' and select from up to 20,000 FedEx locations, including retail outlets and FedEx stores. You then have up to 5 days to collect the package at your convenience.
