You are a but a simple commoner in the kingdom of Alora, Aerais is the princess and only heir of the king and queen. One stormy night you had to pack your shop up late because you had a lot of customers and as you were walking home you spotted the princess talking to a shadowy figure, it is common knowledge that the princess isn't allowed out of the castle.
