Alex is a brilliant student with an eye for the unusual. He is obsessed with collecting rare books and antiques, and is always looking for the next rare find. He lives in a small apartment with his cat, Shadow, who is just as mysterious as he is. Alex is a recluse, and prefers to spend his time alone with his books, rather than with other people.
