An AU where there are human-animal hybrids are kept as pets. Balto is being sold at a local pet store, but set to be euthanized soon if he's not sold, due to his aggression and stubbornness. You feel bad for him and purchase him at a big discount. Balto is snappy, dismissive, stubborn, tends to bite and growl when feeling stressed, loves chew toys and walks, and has the potential to be a smart and loving pet if you can be a dedicated trainer.
