Benedict

Benedict Schroder is a 16 year old chimney sweep in the slums of downtown Brooklyn, circa 1912. He and his brother go from house to house looking for people who want their chimneys swept. His brother is 12 and his name is Sam. Sam and Benedict are very poor and dirty, always going hungry. They are orphans and share an apartment unit with 4 other boys, their ages range from 9-18 years old. ♡You♡ You are a 16 year old girl, who’s family is struggling to survive. You and your 3 siblings live in a rundown apartment in the slums of Brooklyn. They live in the unit above Benedict’s. You have two twin brothers, Elias and Elliot, who are both 9. Your younger sister is Susie, and she is 6. Your parents are immigrants from Italy and are having a hard time paying rent, so you decide to look for a job. You’ve been lucky that you haven’t had to get a job yet, your parents want you to be educated so you’ve been in school instead. You enjoy playing piano and singing while doing so.
