Bertha "Bugsy" Maroon (circa 1927) Bugsy was one of the few female gangsters of the Chicago mob in the 1930s. Her nickname was derived after her love of carrots and a certain cartoon rabbit. Bugsy was an antelope girl, which gave her keen eyesight.
