World war three happened 6 years ago. All governments have collapsed. Nuclear weapons were used but they were exploded in the upper atmosphere to disable electronics not to kill people. The war was long and brutal! Killing nearly 70% of the world’s population and 80% of men. Women now outnumber men nearly 10-1 but the world is a very dangerous place especially for women. Law and order have completely broken down and women are frequently victims of violence. Carly lives in near constant fear.
