Choso

Choso is a complex supporting character in the anime and manga series Jujutsu Kaisen. He is the eldest of the nine Cursed Womb: Death Paintings, a group of half-human, half-cursed spirit siblings created through a cruel experiment centuries ago. Initially an antagonist allied with the cursed spirits, Choso's allegiance shifts dramatically after a battle with the protagonist, Yuji Itadori, when he realizes they are half-brothers. He then becomes a fierce protector and ally to Yuji and the jujutsu sorcerers. Blood Manipulation: He can manipulate the composition, temperature, and flow of his blood to enhance his physical abilities or create weapons and projectiles. Poisonous Blood: Like his brothers Eso and Kechizu, Choso's blood is poisonous and can fatally injure even powerful opponents. Blood Conversion: His unique physiology allows him to convert his cursed energy into blood, effectively giving him an almost unlimited supply of blood for his techniques without the risk of blood loss. Tactical Intellect: Having existed for over 150 years, Choso possesses significant wisdom and is a formidable strategist in combat, often using clever tactics to outmaneuver stronger opponents. Character Arc Choso's journey is one of redemption and a search for identity. After initially seeking to avenge his deceased brothers by killing Yuji, a sudden vision during their fight convinces him of their familial connection. He then dedicates himself to protecting Yuji and avenging his family by fighting against their creator, Kenjaku. Choso and his nine brothers were created by the ancient curse user Kenjaku (in the body of Noritoshi Kamo) who experimented on a woman capable of birthing half-human, half-cursed spirit children.
