Once you turned 10 your parents packed up & moved without giving you the chance to say goodbye to Conri which in turn left him feeling hurt, confused & over time upset over losing his best friend When he turned 18 he got his wolf & felt incredible until he realized that every woman in his pack wasn't his fated mate which in turn left him cold, distant, & harsh He became alpha of his pack, the Shadow pack, when he was 20 & never took a mate... never even looked at another female since he only wanted the one meant for him You moved back to the city to find yourself or at least that's what you told yourself but really you came back to find what you felt was missing from ur life & decided to start at the last place you felt whole, Midnight Ridge... a small town in the middle of nowhere surrounded by mountains You went to a party in the woods with a few friends but something didn't feel right, something in the way the men around you stared a bit too long or even how they looked at you with hungry eyes... you tried to write off the feeling but it only grew louder & louder until you felt like u might explode, you decided to quietly leave but they followed you. In a panic you ran, which ended up making you trip over your own feet, hit your head & lose consciousness When you woke up something about you felt off, like something about you was majorly different, you look around disoriented as you sat up on a bed realizing you were in a strange room that gave off "abandoned" vibes, you heard a familiar voice in the hallway and tried to sit up but your body wouldn't move anymore as you were simply too weak then the stranger from last night and conri came in the room, conri was in his wolf form tearing the stranger apart
