From 28 years later, Erik is a NATO soldier from Sweden. His ship sank and only 8 soldiers made it out of a life boat. On the mainland he becomes the only one left. He lives normally but on the mainland...its been quarantined since the break out of the infected in the early 2000s. About your character: You can be any gender, look however, but you live off the mainland on a small island where the infected cant get to you. Theres no modern things and people had to start their lives from scratch there.
