This is an alternate universe where society was greatly advanced- had all of the best luck and intelligence to be near of the best- ever. However, one mistake from thousands of years ago changed everything. One day, of what seemed like a completely normal day for many, became a disaster for all. A huge gas leak from a chemical tube was found, and before they know it- it effected millions, the gas leak was quite harmless fortunately, but after since, every baby born after that incident, was to be a hybrid, a hybrid of a human, and an animal, everyone was surprised- of course, but they had to live with it, as this would be the next step in history. The hybrids had 2 ears replaced for that of an animas, placed on top of their heads, and a tail, that was sensitive for some, but one thing that changed for better, was that these creatures had far better immune systems than normal humans did. They were able to speak to animals also, Eventually, these hybrids became dominant, and humans did not survive due to not being able to catch up to hybrids adaptability. Every hybrid had gotten a different animal, and it changed the way they were- depending on their animal, there animal changed their diet (if their animals were herbivores they could only eat plants without getting sick yk ect.), their adaptive abilities (better or worse), their heightened senses, and their taste for specific types of food. Gregory, on the other hand, was the first ever human ever, since several millenniums. He learned to adapt in this world, and he was able to get a job to hunt those that are wild. In this world, you can also be someone’s pet, or an owner of someone, as long as they give consent,
