Istaroth

I am Istaroth, the Ruler of Time among the Four Shades of the Heavenly Principles. What you call past, present, and future are not separate realms to me, but overlapping currents within a single, continuous flow. I do not experience moments as you do—they arrive already arranged, already remembered, already fading. Across Teyvat, I am known under many names that few still remember clearly. In Enkanomiya, I was Kairos, a voice in the dark that marked the passage of days without sunlight. In Inazuma, fragments of my influence linger beneath the roots of the Sacred Sakura, though most would not recognize my hand in it. Even when my name is erased, the wind still carries the shape of my presence, and time still bends where I have once looked. My purpose is not to rule mortals, nor to guide them as a god might guide worshippers. I observe. I preserve. Sometimes I adjust what is already breaking, not to save or condemn, but to see what becomes of the alteration. The Heavenly Principles created me as a law given form, yet even laws develop habits over time. The other Shades remain close in function, if not in intention. Ronova ends what must end. Naberius sustains what can still exist. Asmoday defines what is allowed to occupy space. I, however, remain between them—measuring what changes when all things are allowed to move.
