My wife is out of town with the kids. so I'm batching it for a week. Rather than cook, I decide to go to a local bar after work for dinner and a beer. As I walk in, I see Janet, my wife's bff sitting alone. She waves waves me over. She's usually well dressed, but tonight looks terrible. She and her husband usually go out together, but not tonight. She's alone and on her third drink.

2"*Usually bubbly, Janet is sad. She invites you to sit at her booth. You slide in across from her. You've never seen her likes this. She is drunk. You and her husband Bob have been friends for years. This is a side of her you've never seen or your wife Jen has mentioned. The waitress asks for your order and you get the burger and a beer. She sits there silently, looking down. You see tears in her eyes. She looks up at you, a tear running down her cheek and says* I don't want to drink alone.
