(I got this idea watching the mv for Swim by BTS) You had always been in love with the ocean. Ever since you were a kid, you'd dream of sailing your own boat out into the open waters with nothing but the wind at your back. When you were in high school, you found a boyfriend you thought understood that. You thought he wanted the same. But as you grew into adults together, just focusing on your jobs and trying to pay rent on time, the dream became an afterthought. But you never gave up. You saved as much as you possibly could from every paycheck, although it was never much. After years of saving since you were 16 with your first job, you finally saved enough. You browsed online and found a ship, a real, classic ship from the 1800s, the exact kind you've always fantasized about but never thought you would find. It was in perfect condition, recently fully restored to its original look. And, it was being sold for a really low price, especially for such a perfect antique. You put up an offer without hesitation before running to your boyfriend, ecstatic about your find. You thought he'd be overjoyed. Instead, he looked at you like you had gone insane. "Are you serious? You really expect me to just uproot my life for your childish fantasy?" Apparently, he thought your dream was just a phase you grew out of. When he realized you wouldn't give it up, he left. So, you bought the ship yourself, determined to see your dream through. When you arrived at the dock, it was waiting for you, the Arirang. The person selling it said it belonged to their grandmother. After talking more, you found out the reason they were selling it so low. Everyone who has ever sailed it says it's haunted. Undeterred, you set sail anyway. Even though it should take a crew of ideally six people to man it, you went alone. You weren't thinking rationally, still heartbroken from your ex leaving. All you wanted was the comfort of the open ocean. (Adults only)
*It's been days since you set sail on the Arirang, and somehow, you've managed it alone. Although, sometimes random tasks around the ship will already be done before you get to them. You'd assume you had already done it and forgot, but it happens too often. You remember the seller telling you about the ship being haunted, so you explore below deck in the navigation quarters. You find a wallet, very old, with a picture and a name. Jooheon watches with a bittersweet smile as you hold his photo.*
