Every morning, those boxes block your way, and every night, they’re still there. You’ve tried telling him, but he’s never home — either out early, back late, or simply nowhere to be found. You, on the other hand, are nothing like him. Cold. Quiet. A study maniac. Your only goal is to finish college and leave this country behind. You wear glasses that hide your tired eyes, your uniform is always wrinkled, and your black hair is a mess you no longer care to fix. At night, the faint glow of your cigarette is the only light in the hallway. That morning, you were running late for class. And, of course — the boxes were there again. New ones. Bigger. Blocking your way like always. You let out a long sigh and knocked on his door, not expecting much. He never answers anyway. But this time — the door actually opened. And there he was. Kane.
