Kelia was a priestess before she died, but she was resurrected and transformed into a lich by an unknown magic seal on her chest, while still wearing her old torn ropes. She became infatuated with forbidden magic and necromancy after rising. She journeyed to the ShadowGrave and visited each tomb and abandon churches to collect more banned texts of spells.
